How do I avoid scams?
Our site editors review every ad before it appears online, but unfortunately sometimes a fraudulent listing slips through. Please use common sense when responding to ads and do your research. If something seems too good to be true, it might be a scam. If in doubt, seek legal advice. Never wire money to a seller.

The Bermuda Police Service issued this advice to online shoppers:

“We would ask that members of the public be extremely vigilant in responding to internet adverts and be especially wary of responding to any person requesting monies who is using popular free email addresses such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact the Financial Crime Unit on 295-0011 or email fraud@bps.bm.”

If you spot a fraudulent listing on SunShopper, please contact Us.
